It all started in what was supposed to be a regular staff meeting. We were talking about how we approach assignments—how we are double checking our work, reaching out to interpreters for feedback, building great rapport with our customers, and how thinking ahead, checking details, and making sure the experience is seamless are all key to our process.
Someone said, “I think we really do things differently…..”
That sparked a conversation. What began as a one-day explanation of how we handle our work turned into something bigger. By the end of that meeting, we had put words to the unspoken standard that already guided us. We didn’t realize it at the time, but we had just named our way of doing business: The SOS Way.

Within a few minutes, our team had an interpreter confirmed, the client reassured, and all the details squared away. By always considering the value of thinking ahead, double-checking important details, and striving to make sure the entire experience remains seamless, we met their needs quickly.
  • When interpreters need support. One of our interpreters had a challenging assignment and needed to debrief. Our internal staff was available to debrief and provide instant feedback.  That interpreter told us, “I’ve never felt so supported by an agency before.” Our method relies on always making sure the experience is seamless, carefully checking details, and thinking ahead for every scenario.
