Why We Love Preferred Provider Requests

One of our favorite things to hear from customers is: "Can we request the same interpreter again?" Absolutely.

One of our favorite things to hear from customers is:

“Can we request the same interpreter again?”

Absolutely.

In fact, we love preferred interpreter requests.

When a customer and interpreter have worked together successfully, there is often an added level of comfort, familiarity, and trust. The provider may already understand the environment, the communication preferences of the participants, and the unique dynamics of the setting. These established relationships can contribute to a smoother experience for everyone involved.

At The SOS Agency, we are always happy to note preferred interpreters and make every effort to accommodate those requests.

So why do we ask that future requests continue to come through the agency?

Because the service you receive involves much more than the individual assigned to the appointment.

Behind every successful assignment is a team working to coordinate schedules, verify qualifications, maintain insurance requirements, manage billing, provide customer support, handle last-minute emergencies, and ensure communication access is available when you need it.

Here is an example that can help illustrate this.

Imagine hiring a landscaping company to maintain your property. One of the crew members does an exceptional job, and you would love them to return. Most customers would contact the landscaping company and request that specific employee rather than attempting to arrange services directly.

The same concept applies to interpreting services and CART.

When requests continue to come through the agency, we can:

  • Coordinate schedules and availability
  • Ensure appropriate qualifications and credentials are maintained
  • Provide backup support if an interpreter becomes unavailable
  • Handle invoicing and administrative tasks
  • Maintain insurance and compliance requirements

Most importantly, it helps preserve the professional relationships that make these successful partnerships possible.

If you have an interpreter or CART provider that you particularly enjoyed working with, please tell us! We love receiving that feedback. We will gladly note your preference and do our best to schedule that provider for future assignments whenever possible.

So, keep the preferred provider requests coming—we love them!

And we’ll do everything we can to make those great matches happen again.
